Regional carrier Winair has announced that its fleet has grown to nine aircraft, marking a significant step in its efforts to strengthen connectivity across the Caribbean.

The airline, based in St. Maarten, now operates the largest intra-Caribbean network, serving 17 destinations with more than 30 routes. The company said the expansion reflects its commitment to keeping the region reliably connected.

Winair also acknowledged the ongoing challenges of the Atlantic hurricane season, stressing that passenger and crew safety remain its top priority. “We remain vigilant during the hurricane season,” the airline said in a statement, adding that it was “grateful to be in a strong position” to continue reliable service.

The carrier, which has been operating for nearly six decades, plays a key role in linking smaller island territories to larger regional hubs, supporting both tourism and local communities.
