    Nine-Year-Old’s Phone Vanishes After Lending It to Cousin

    Police are investigating the theft of a nine-year-old girl’s mobile phone reported in St. John’s on Monday afternoon.

    According to reports, the child was in the city around 1 p.m. when she lent her Samsung A51 smartphone to a cousin to make a call. The device was never returned.

    The incident was reported to the Criminal Investigations Department, where officers carried out a search for the alleged offender but were unsuccessful.

    The phone, valued at about EC$1,200, remains missing as the investigation continues.
