More than 200 children are participating in the Hon. E.P. Chet Greene Sponsored Summer Camp, which officially opened on July 6 with a programme focused on education, recreation and personal development.

The camp caters to children between the ages of five and 12 and is designed to provide a safe and engaging environment during the school vacation. Organisers say the annual initiative continues to be a popular programme for families in the St. Paul’s community.

Camp Coordinator Paulette Hickson thanked parents for their continued confidence in the programme, saying their support has allowed the camp to continue providing meaningful opportunities for young participants.

She said the camp remains committed to creating an environment where children can learn, develop new skills and build lasting memories throughout the summer.

Participants will take part in a range of activities, including cooking lessons, sailing excursions, horseback riding sessions and piano instruction, along with other educational and recreational experiences aimed at encouraging creativity, exploration and personal growth.

Hon. E.P. Chet Greene said the objective of the camp is to expose children to experiences beyond traditional recreation, helping them discover new interests and talents while building confidence and teamwork skills.

Organisers said the programme combines fun with learning and reflects an ongoing commitment to investing in young people by providing activities that promote creativity, curiosity and lifelong learning.

A full schedule of activities is planned throughout the summer as the camp continues to serve children across the community.
