Police are reportedly investigating a complaint against a public bus driver following an incident near the St. John’s Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.

According to sources, the woman approached the bus at about 10:30 a.m. seeking transportation home. She alleges that instead of agreeing to the request, the driver made an unwanted sexual proposition, which she rejected.

The situation reportedly escalated when the woman tried to leave the bus. She alleged that the vehicle began moving before she was safely out, leaving her with an injury to her right foot.

The matter has reportedly been brought to the attention of authorities, and investigations are continuing.
