WE DID THE WORK — PAY US!

To the Government of Antigua and Barbuda,

    Book Beach Resorts

I am writing as a private contractor who assisted with the Carnival cleanup under Central Board of Health, and I am deeply frustrated by the situation surrounding payment for work carried out.

We showed up, put in the work, provided our services and helped clean up our country after Carnival. We fulfilled our responsibilities, so why are we now being left to fight for the money we worked hard to earn?

We are not asking for a handout.

We are demanding payment for services rendered.

As contractors, we have expenses to cover, workers to pay, equipment to maintain and families to support. These costs do not stop because payment is delayed or because there are issues between government departments or agencies.

It is unfair to expect us to deliver a service when called upon, only to leave us wondering when we will be paid. Our labour has value, our time matters, and our businesses deserve respect.

The question to the Government is simple: If we did the work, why are we still waiting for our money?

We deserve a clear explanation, accountability and, most importantly, a definite date for payment. We should not have to beg for what we have rightfully earned.

The work is done. The service was provided. Now honour your responsibility and pay the contractors.

WE DID OUR PART. NOW DO YOURS. PAY US!

    A concerned Private Contractor.
