Held under the theme, “Accelerating Partnerships and Investment for a Prosperous Commonwealth,” CHOGM 2026 will bring together leaders, policymakers, civil society representatives and stakeholders from across the Commonwealth to advance dialogue and collaboration on sustainable development, investment and shared prosperity.

Senator Beazer noted that the Barbuda delegation reflects the strength and diversity of the community, bringing together representatives from government, education, business, civil society, tourism, faith-based organisations and community development initiatives.

Commenting on the delegation, Senator Beazer stated:

“I am proud to see such a broad cross-section of Barbuda represented at CHOGM 2026. The inclusion of leaders from the public sector, private sector, educational institutions, civil society and faith-based organisations demonstrates the depth of talent and commitment that exists within our community. This delegation reflects the voices, experiences and aspirations of the people of Barbuda and highlights our readiness to contribute meaningfully to conversations about sustainable development, investment, resilience and partnership across the Commonwealth.

Through participation in CHOGM 2026, our delegates will have the opportunity to engage with Commonwealth partners, exchange ideas and explore new avenues for collaboration that can benefit Barbuda and Antigua and Barbuda as a whole. Meaningful representation matters, and I am pleased to see members of our community contributing to discussions that will help shape a more prosperous and sustainable future for all.”

Senator Beazer further emphasised that international forums such as CHOGM provide important opportunities to strengthen relationships, build networks and position small island communities as valuable partners in addressing global challenges and advancing sustainable development goals.

He congratulated all delegates and thanked the organisers and partners who supported their participation, noting that the delegation embodies the Commonwealth’s commitment to inclusive engagement and people-centred development.

“As a small island community, our greatest asset is our people. The diversity of this delegation reflects the innovation, resilience and leadership that exist throughout Barbuda, and I am confident they will represent our island with distinction,” he added.

Senator Beazer also encouraged residents to follow the delegation’s participation and outcomes throughout CHOGM 2026 as they contribute to advancing partnerships and opportunities that can support Barbuda’s long-term development and prosperity.
