    Register now for Groundbreaking Aquaculture Training Seminar

    The Department of the Blue Economy, in partnership with the Freshwater Fisheries Research Center (FFRC) of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, is pleased to announce the upcoming Training Course on Ocean based Aquaculture Development and Management to be held in the conference room of the Villa Polyclinic from September 1st to September 21st, 2025.

    We encourage all interested citizens, especially those in the fisheries, aquaculture, agriculture, marine conservation, youth entrepreneurship, women empowerment and environmental sustainability sectors, to register for this unique, high-level training opportunity. Participation is open to both public and private sector professionals, entrepreneurs, and students passionate about advancing the Blue Economy in Antigua and Barbuda.

    • Learn from Global Experts: The program will be delivered by leading fisheries and aquaculture scientists from China, including professors from the East China Sea Fisheries Research Institute and the FFRC.
    • Gain Hands-On Skills: Participants will receive intensive training in marine fish breeding, aquafeed production, crab hatchery techniques, seaweed farming, and more, combining lectures with practical sessions and field visits.

    How to Register: Registration takes place from August 1st to 31st, 2025, from 9AM to 4PM at the office of the Department of the Blue Economy in Jasmin Court on Friars Hill Road.
