The police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the owner of livestock animals that were abandoned during a stop-and-search operation in the Johnson’s Point community.

On Friday morning, officers attached to the Johnson’s Point and Bolans Police Stations were conducting a joint stop-and-search operation in the area. During the exercise, a vehicle managed to evade the police and, in doing so, left behind two ewe goats. The animals were subsequently secured and are currently being housed at the Johnson’s Point Police Station.

Members of the public with any information that may assist in identifying the owner of the animals or furthering the investigation are asked to contact the Johnson’s Point Police Station at 562-8943 or the Bolans Police Station at 462-1080.

The Police Administration thanks the public for their continued cooperation and support.
