Free health screenings will return to Barbuda later this month as the Medical Benefits Scheme (MBS) stages its Community Health and Wellness Fair on 23 August at Holy Trinity School.

The event follows July’s _Summer Days of Wellness_ initiative, which offered screenings, nutrition advice, diabetic foot checks, self-management programmes, yoga sessions and children’s activities.

This month’s fair will feature blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, HbA1c, BMI, prostate and breast examinations, as well as basic dental care, nutrition counselling and pharmacy consultations.

MBS says the outreach helps overcome logistical challenges that often limit Barbudans’ access to specialist healthcare. The Aid Secretariat will also provide testing during the event, which runs from 09:00 to 14:00.
