    Antigua and Barbuda to Expand Steel Pan in Schools

    The government of Antigua and Barbuda has approved a proposal to introduce steel pan music more widely in schools for the 2025–2026 academic year.

    Cabinet spokesperson Maurice Merchant said the plan, put forward by Minister of Culture and the Arts Daryll Matthew, will see additional resources allocated to develop the steel pan program in schools across the country.

    Further details on the initiative will be announced in due course.
