    Canadian woman Charged with Drug Trafficking After Cannabis Seizure at Airport

    _Canadian National Charged with Drug Trafficking After Cannabis Seizure at Airport_

    St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda,Thursday, 12 March 2026

    The police have arrested and charged 48-year-old Canadian citizen, Roselynee Crisostomo, in connection with the importation and trafficking of a large quantity of cannabis at the V. C. Bird International Airport.

    She is charged with Possession of 67 pounds of Cannabis, Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Transfer, Being Concerned in the Supplying of Cannabis,

    Drug Trafficking, and Importation of Cannabis.

    The offences occurred on Tuesday, 10 March 2026, during a joint drug interdiction operation conducted at the airport.

    Reports indicate that at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers attached to the Narcotics Department, along with members of the Special Services Unit (SSU) and the K-9 Unit, carried out a joint operation with the Customs Enforcement Unit.

    During the operation, Roselynee Crisostomo, who had arrived in Antigua on Air Canada flight AC1832 from Toronto, was stopped and searched.

    Her two suitcases were discovered with sixty-one (61) vacuum-sealed packages containing cannabis. The packages were seized and the accused was taken into custody.

    The Cannabis is estimated at EC $536,000.00.

    The accused is expected to appear before the court at a later date.
