The Antigua and Barbuda Red Cross is urging members of the public to donate blood to assist Christopher Howell, also known as Yung Luiy, who is in urgent need of a transfusion.

In a public appeal shared on social media, the organization said Howell requires any blood type and asked potential donors to visit the blood bank at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre.

According to the notice, donations are being accepted between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. today.

The Red Cross also encouraged residents to share the appeal in order to reach more potential donors and increase the chances of securing the needed blood supply.

Individuals seeking additional information about how to donate were advised to contact the Red Cross at (268) 462-0800.
