Four juveniles are reportedly on the run after escaping from the Bolans Police Station, according to Randy Christopher of the Dennis Browne Rehabilitation Centre.
Christopher said he learned of the reported escape Tuesday morning when a senior police officer called him seeking information about the whereabouts of the four juveniles.
The four had been taken into police custody following an unsuccessful escape attempt at the Dennis Browne Rehabilitation Centre on Friday.
During that incident, part of the facility was damaged, and police were called. The juveniles were subsequently taken to the Bolans Police Station while repairs were carried out at the rehabilitation centre.
Christopher said he has received no confirmation that the juveniles have been recaptured and therefore believes they remain at large.
He urged members of the public to exercise caution and not attempt to apprehend them.
Christopher stopped short of describing the juveniles as particularly dangerous but said caution was warranted because of some of the offences for which they had previously been remanded.
Anyone with information about their whereabouts is being encouraged to contact the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda or the Dennis Browne Rehabilitation Centre.
