Residents in Antigua and Barbuda can access free reading glasses starting today, Tuesday, 3 November 2026, as the Prime Minister’s Vision Initiative begins operating at Jennings South Mall, Unit 6.

The initiative, which runs until 6 November, is being conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Wellness, Environment and Civil Service Affairs and RestoringVision.

According to the announcement, the clinic will operate from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday, with Friday hours scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Free reading glasses will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and residents are required to bring a valid national photo ID.

Organisers said additional clinic locations will be announced periodically as efforts continue to expand access to reading glasses across communities.

The programme is being promoted under the message, “Clear Vision. Better Lives. Stronger Communities.”
