Antigua and Barbuda paid tribute to those who served and died in the First and Second World Wars during a Remembrance Sunday ceremony on November 8.
Government officials, military personnel and representatives of uniformed organisations gathered at the War Memorial on Independence Avenue in St John’s.
The ceremony included wreath-laying, prayers and military honours in memory of those who lost their lives.
The observance also recognised Antiguans, Barbudans and other Caribbean nationals who served overseas during both wars.
The red poppy, a symbol of remembrance, served as a reminder of their sacrifice and the importance of peace.
Remembrance Day is marked annually on November 11, while Remembrance Sunday fell on November 8 this year.
