The Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Service has urged motorists to slow down and use caution as an intense line of showers and thunderstorms brings heavy rain and significantly reduced visibility.
The weather system developed in association with a trough, the service said in a weather advisory.
Drivers should increase the distance between vehicles and use their headlights when visibility is poor. They were also told to avoid flooded roads and stay alert to changing weather conditions.
