The Magistrates’ Court on High Street in St. John’s will close at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, to allow staff to attend a funeral, and will also be closed Tuesday, Nov. 3, for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.

People with matters scheduled for Nov. 3 should report to their respective courtrooms on Nov. 5, according to a notice issued by Court Administrator Rhohan Frederick.

Filing, service and disposition of matters not currently on the E-Litigation Portal should be handled by email at magistratescourt@gmail.com.

The closures do not apply to the Magistrates’ Court’s Family Division, located at the High Court on Parliament Drive in St. John’s.
