Dear Editor,
After several decades of existence, the E&M Restaurant on Market Street will no longer be around.
As a result, we, the staff, would like to use this platform to express in poetry our profound gratitude to the owner & boss, Mr. Clarence Davis.
Mr. Davis, it is extremely hard to say farewell to a boss who can never be forgotten! We are therefore sharing this little token to show you our appreciation.
It’s a token of love we are conveying to you that should bring some warmth & good cheer. You were very special and meant a lot to us, and a person we consider so dear.
Throughout the years, we had great times together, having someone like you as our boss. Of course, now & then we had a few disagreements, but they surely never lasted.
Truly, we never expected that day would come where you would cause tears to fall from our eyes. The good times with you will surely be missed, so it is difficult to say goodbye.
Now, for all of us, this transition starts a new chapter, but with God, we have no fear! We will continue to remain as the E & M family and certainly keep you in our prayers!
And finally, where there’s a beginning, there must be an end, so perhaps that end is finally here. Therefore, Boss, we sincerely extend best wishes to you & your family and God’s richest blessings throughout your coming years.
From your former E&M staff,
God bless!
