Authorities are investigating an alleged sexual assault involving two minors at the Pediatric Ward of the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre.

The incident reportedly occurred on the afternoon of July 29, 2025, at approximately 3:49 p.m., and involves a 10-year-old female patient and a 12-year-old male patient, both admitted to the ward at the time.

According to initial reports, a House Officer at the hospital contacted the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) after the allegation was made. Police were subsequently notified and launched an inquiry into the matter.

Officers have since interviewed both the alleged victim, accompanied by her mother, and the suspect, who was supported by two of his aunts.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities seek to gather further information surrounding the circumstances of the incident.

Hospital officials and police have not issued any public statements at this time.
