As the 2025 Carnival season approaches its climax, the Police Administration is urging the general public to continue exercise caution and conduct themselves in a responsible manner.
Participants in the upcoming street parades, particularly J’Ouvert and Last Lap, are strongly advised to adhere to all previously issued safety guidelines and advisories.
These measures are in place for the protection and safety of everyone, and to ensure a safe and orderly flow of these events.
The Police Administration is also appealing to drivers and operators of large trucks, music trailers, and other heavy-duty vehicles to take extra precautions. These vehicles must be properly fitted with the necessary safety apparatus to prevent injury or harm to revellers.
Additionally, event organizers and band leaders are advised to assign designated safety marshals to assist with navigation and crowd safety along the designated routes.
The public is further reminded that the “No Weapon” policy remains in full effect for the duration of the Carnival season. No weapons or dangerous objects will be permitted at any Carnival-related events or venues.
The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda is committed to ensuring that Carnival 2025 concludes on a safe and peaceful note.
The Police Administration thanks the public for their continued support and cooperation and encourages all to play their part in making this year’s celebrations safe, enjoyable, and incident-free.
