The Antigua Toastmasters Club is saddened to learn of the tragic death of Vonde Bowers. Vonde participated in the 2024 Toastmasters Youth Leadership Program (YLP). This program was a partnership with the Ottos Comprehensive School REACH Mentorship Program.

Vonde, like his fellow participants, sought to improve his self-confidence and communication and leadership skills in the Youth Leadership Program.

Coordinator of the 2024 YLP, Toastmaster Francoise Bowen, saw Vonde as “a young life that was growing like a fruit true to bear healthy fruit for the nation of Antigua and Barbuda”.

Assistant Coordinator, Distinguished Toastmaster Lisa-Ann Yearwood noted that “although his time with us was brief, his impact was immeasurable”.

The Antigua Toastmasters Club extends heartfelt condolences to the family, Ottos Comprehensive School staff and students and all those touched by the passing of Youth Leader Vonde Bowers.
