Antigua and Barbuda’s iconic soca group, Burning Flames, has been honoured with a major tribute as Potters Main Road is officially renamed the Burning Flames Highway.

Prime Minister Gaston Browne made the announcement during Carnival celebrations, marking the band’s 40 years of contribution to local music and culture.

At the Party Monarch competition, Creative Industries Minister Daryll Matthew presented a formal citation to founding members Toriano ‘Onyan’ Edwards, Clarence ‘Oungku’ Edwards, David ‘Crocus’ Edwards, and Rhone ‘Foxx’ Watkins.

Toriano Edwards described the moment as a proud one, calling the highway renaming a lasting symbol of community support and cultural legacy.
