Senior men’s sprinter Cejhae Greene will headline a five-member Antigua and Barbuda track and field team at the NACAC Senior Championships, set for August 15-17 in The Bahamas.
Greene, who transitioned from MVP International to MVP Jamaica in 2024, will compete in his signature event, the 100-metre sprint, at the Grand Bahama Sports Complex in Freeport.
The seasoned sprinter holds the Central American & Caribbean (CAC) Games record of 10.00 seconds, set in Colombia back in July 2018.
Joining Greene is 2025 national 100m champion Dwayne Fleming, who will double up in both the 100m and 200m events.
Darion Skerritt, the national champion in the 200m, will also make the trip, alongside 400m national champion Jalen Dyett and men’s shot put national record holder Christopher Johnson.
The team will be led by head coach/manager Jamille Nelson, while Everton Cornelius, president of the Antigua and Barbuda Athletic Association (ABAA) and NACAC council member, will attend the NACAC Delegates Congress during the event.
Team Antigua and Barbuda is scheduled to depart for The Bahamas on August 12, aiming to make a strong impression at the regional championships.
