Antigua and Barbuda’s Davis Cup team claimed their second win of the Americas Group IV tournament on Thursday, defeating Suriname 2-1 at the National Racquet Sports Centre in Trinidad.

Team captain and top seed Jody Maginley led the charge, beating Yigal Bergen 6-2, 6-2 in singles before partnering with Rodain Monelle to win a tight doubles match 6-3, 3-6, 7-5.

The team opened the tournament with a 2-1 victory over Panama on August 4, with Maginley also winning his singles match and the doubles pairing of Maginley and Monelle sealing the win.

The tournament, featuring 10 nations, continues until August 9, with the top two teams advancing to the Americas Group III playoffs in 2026.
