Safety concerns are mounting over a store on Redcliffe and Market Street in St John’s, where construction jacks are reportedly holding up a deteriorating concrete roof.

Eyewitnesses say the structural issues pose a danger to customers and staff, with one visitor describing the premises as “an accident waiting to happen.” A local contractor warned that large chunks of concrete could fall, urging authorities to shut the store until repairs are completed.

Residents are calling for urgent inspections to ensure the building meets safety regulations.
