I am writing to express my concern over the public’s lack of information following the tragic death of Huneka Benjamin in a traffic collision on Old Parham Road near the CIBC First Caribbean Bank.
This unfortunate event has deeply affected her family, friends and loved ones and it raises important questions about the transparency of the investigation currently underway.
While we understand that investigations take time and that authorities must proceed carefully, the seeming secrecy surrounding the circumstances of the crash is troubling.
The public was given no information about the other driver and or their health condition or whether they would be charged for dangerous driving. We were not even privy to the name. It is almost like the police feeds the public whats suits them.
The shockwaves felt throughout the entire country following her death should compel us to demand more than just initial reports.
We owe it to her memory and her grieving family to seek transparency regarding the investigation’s progress and findings.
I urge the authorities to keep the public informed and engaged, as transparency can only lead to a stronger, safer community.
Let us not wait in silence; instead, let us voice our demand for clarity and accountability.
