Antigua and Barbuda’s Under-14 girls’ football team has left for Trinidad and Tobago to compete in the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Under-14 Girls Challenge Series from 15 to 25 August.

Drawn in Tier II Group C with the Cayman Islands, Anguilla, Turks and Caicos Islands, and Guyana, they face Anguilla in their opening match on Friday, followed by Guyana, the Cayman Islands, and Turks and Caicos.

Games will be played at the Ato Boldon, Hasely Crawford, and Larry Gomes stadiums, with live coverage on the CFU’s YouTube channel.

In cricket, the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons have named Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim as captain and local player Rahkeem Cornwall as vice-captain for the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League.

Wasim, in his second season with the franchise, has made more than 400 T20 appearances and 130 international caps.
