Minister of Health, Wellness, Environment, and Civil Service Affairs, Sir Molwyn Joseph, together with Junior Minister Senator Michael Joseph and Permanent Secretaries Stacey Gregg-Paige and Colin O’keiffe, met with Dr. Nikhil Jain and Ms. Tanya Fernandes of PAHO following a successful workshop held last week on mental health and suicide reporting with responsible journalism.

The workshop, which brought together media professionals and health stakeholders, emphasized the importance of sensitive, accurate coverage to reduce stigma and promote greater awareness of mental health challenges.

The meeting underscored the Ministry’s continued collaboration with PAHO to strengthen national strategies for mental health and wellbeing.
