CHOGM Delegates Arrive in Antigua and Barbuda as Airport Activity Increases

V.C. Bird International Airport saw increased activity on Thursday as delegates arrived in Antigua and Barbuda ahead of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2026.

Aircraft from American Airlines, Air Canada, Virgin Atlantic and British Airways were among those on the tarmac, while passengers and conference participants made their way through the terminal.

Police officers managed increased traffic outside the airport, directing motorists and coordinating vehicle movements. Arriving guests were also welcomed with musical entertainment.

More delegations are expected to arrive as Antigua and Barbuda prepares to welcome Commonwealth leaders, officials and other participants for the international gathering.
