The police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred in Gray’s Farm, leaving one man hospitalized with a gunshot wound.
Around 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, May 25, Andre Mills of Lovelace Road was reportedly sitting on the eastern side of Lovelace Road when two unknown assailants exited a silver Honda Fit motor car and allegedly shot him in the right leg.
Mills was subsequently transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where he is currently receiving treatment. Medical personnel have confirmed that the injury is not considered life-threatening. However, further medical assessments will be done to determine whether surgery is necessary.
The scene was processed by officers attached to the Forensic Evidence Recovery Unit (FERU).
