A police constable is in stable condition after being shot while responding to reports of masked gunmen in Potters Village early Monday morning.
The officer, identified as Constable Trevor Giddings, sustained four gunshot wounds—two to each thigh—during a confrontation with at least two armed suspects shortly after 01:30 local time.
According to police, the gunmen opened fire while attempting to flee the scene. The suspects escaped on foot, triggering a manhunt in the area.
Giddings is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital. The police are appealing to the public for any information that could assist with the investigation.
