A community leader in Grays Farm and Greenbay has sounded the alarm over the growing recruitment of minors into criminal activity.

Caretaker Michael Joseph says adult men are exploiting vulnerable children and teenagers, luring them into theft, robbery and even murder.

“This is a pattern we’ve started to observe,” he told _Antigua.news_. “Grown men are taking advantage of vulnerable minors, drawing them into a world of crime.”

Joseph’s warning comes amid a rise in violent incidents in the area in recent months. He is calling for parents, teachers and local leaders to provide young people with stronger support and alternatives to street life.

Residents have also urged police to clamp down on those who recruit minors and to expand outreach efforts to protect at-risk youth.

“This is about safeguarding our future,” Joseph said. “The community must come together to stop the cycle.”
