Hurricane Erin continues to generate hazardous conditions across the northern Caribbean, but forecasters say Antigua is likely to receive less than an inch of additional rainfall.
Barbuda could still see between one and two inches of rain, raising the risk of flooding in low-lying areas. The National Office of Disaster Services (NODS) has advised residents to remain vigilant, warning that outer rainbands may produce squalls and gusty winds even as the storm’s centre tracks north of the islands.
The Category 5 system is expected to maintain its west-northwest course before gradually turning northward in the coming days.
