Parliamentary Representative for All Saints West, Anthony Smith, is calling on young people to step forward and take on leadership responsibilities without hesitation.
In a public statement, Smith questioned whether leadership should be delayed until individuals reach their 50s, or embraced when energy, ideas and passion are at their strongest.
“The time is now. If we keep waiting for permission, we’ll be waiting forever,” he said.
Smith stressed that leadership should not be defined by age, but by qualities such as vision, courage and the ability to deliver results.
His remarks come as part of a wider effort to encourage youth participation in national development and decision-making.
The All Saints West MP has positioned himself as an advocate for empowering younger generations, insisting that their involvement is crucial to shaping the future of Antigua and Barbuda.
