    Bahamas sweep past Antigua & Barbuda in Davis Cup

    The Bahamas defeated Antigua & Barbuda, 3-0, at the Davis Cup Americas Group IV Tournament at the National Racquet Sports Centre in Tacarigua, Trinidad & Tobago, on Tuesday.     Antigua & Barbuda fell 3-0 to The Bahamas in their Davis Cup Americas Group IV opener in Tacarigua, Trinidad & Tobago.

    Donte Armbrister earned his first Davis Cup singles win, beating Deandre Weeks 6-0, 6-0. Denali Nottage then secured the tie with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 victory over Jody Maginley.

    In doubles, Armbrister and Kofi Bowe — also celebrating his first Davis Cup win — defeated Rodain Monelle and Ron Murraine 6-0, 6-2.

    Antigua & Barbuda face Cuba, Panama and Suriname next. The top two in each group progress to the promotion playoffs for a spot in the 2026 Americas Group III. The tournament runs until 9 August.
