Barbara Coates has formally announced Harold Lovell’s acceptance of the role as caretaker candidate for All Saints West, signalling a key move ahead of the upcoming elections.

In a statement, Coates highlighted the extensive engagement Lovell has had with the community over the past six months. “For the past six months of canvassing and conversations, he has listened intently and connected deeply with the people of All Saints West,” she said. “He understands exactly what needs to be done at this crucial juncture.”

Coates stressed the wider significance of the decision, saying it is not just about the constituency but the future of Antigua and Barbuda as a whole.

She expressed gratitude to the people of All Saints West for their ongoing support. “We continue the work to bring home victory for the United Progressive Party and form the next government of our great nation,” she added.

This announcement marks a strategic moment for the United Progressive Party as it prepares for the forthcoming elections.
