Good morning Twin Island Nation:
Wake-Up Call aired its last show in February 2025. Since then we have been quiet, but we have heard from many who have asked about our broadcast and we are truly grateful for the concern expressed. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience that was caused and for the delay in communicating the situation.
For over two years, producing Wake-Up Call was an honour and a privilege. We are proud to have contributed to the national conversation and to foster respectful political discourse. It was a labour of love.
That said, running a radio/media operation today is challenging. With only two hours a day, sustaining the revenue needed to continue proved unfeasible. We explored options, including acquiring our own studio, but the costs were prohibitive and timing was also an issue that worked against us.
There are others who saw value in what we brought to the table, and opportunities emerged. That brings us to today. After extensive discussions with Chairman of WTP, E. Paul Chet Greene, we have agreed to join the WTP Media Network. We will develop programs on that platform that will continue the national dialogue in the Twin Island Media spirit: “where all voices in the news contend in an atmosphere conducive to understanding and mutual respect” with pooled resources for the national good. We thank him and his team for their warm embrace. We invite all our stakeholders to join us as we embark on this journey.
Twin Island Media will continue as a separate entity and more will be said about that in time to come.
Our sincere thanks to our stakeholders specifically our advertisers, guests, listeners, viewers, critics and contributors who stood with us and helped us make our contribution.
